Meet Our Team.

We offer a service where an ex military person can come to us and feel he /she is not alone and is not just a number. It is common for military families to experience stress in response to times of transition between Military and civilian life, we can offer advice with regard to housing, benefits and debt. We also offer follow up support attending appointments and reviews if required. We strive to promote a culture that encourages service members and families to seek assistance when coping with the concerns of daily life and to eliminate barriers that service members may feel prevent them from reaching out for help.

We run various programs such as Be a buddy scheme, which involves older veterans and air, army and sea cadets in gardening projects and teaching basic IT skills. We also hold a veterans lunch club on a Monday where veterans can get together in the local community centre and have a hot lunch and a chat.

We currently have 2 volunteer outreach officers who visit veterans and their families and assess their needs and help plot a course of action, they offer encouragement and support with reintegration into the community and building confidence back up. We also offer a 24 hour on call service for times of crisis whether it be a visit or just a chat over the phone. We touch base with our veterans on a weekly basis through text message or phone call. We have numerous veterans who have utilised our service and are now able to volunteer with us to support others.
